San Juan College President Emeritus Dr. James Henderson’s dedication to excellence will continue to live on for years to come through the award that was established in 2018 in his honor – The Henderson Teaching Excellence Award.  Created by San Juan College President Dr. Toni Hopper Pendergrass, a medallion award and framed certificate were presented to San Juan College faculty members who have attained the highest academic rank of professor. Board of Trustees Chairman Joe Rasor and Dr. Pendergrass presented the awards to Kristina Lacey and Lori Cheney at the October 2021 Board of Trustees meeting in recognition of their achievements and commitment to excellence in teaching, disciplinary expertise, and service to the College.  The medallion was generously provided by the San Juan College Foundation to be worn at graduation.
