This national event sponsored by the National Coalition of Certification Centers (NC3) mirrors the NCAA’s National Signing Day for athletes who commit to play sports in college. It is designed to honor students who are entering a technical field and to celebrate the dignity of work.

This year, San Juan College participated in this event with over 65 institutions across the country. New students from 13 local high schools and graduates of the San Juan College ACE Center, who earned their high school equivalency degrees attended the event to sign for the 2022-23 school year and participated in a signing ceremony, similar to an athletic signing.

The San Juan College Foundation provided nine $1,000 scholarships at the NC3 National Letter of Intent Signing event. Those recipients were Matthew Day, Ella Palmer, SaBrina Wallace, Diandra Harrison, Jaade Gills, Mariah Sheets, Nick Talamante, Adriana Perez and Anthony Gillis.
